Rhoda Isaacs Scholarship

The New York City Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP-NYC) is pleased to announce our 2010 Annual Scholarship. The Roundtable will be awarding (1) one scholarship for tuition reimbursement in the amount of $1,500 to a local graduate or undergraduate student interested in pursuing a career in supply chain or logistics management. The purpose of this program is to further the Council’s educational goals while supporting the academic development of students seeking a career in this field.

Eligibility:

Any undergraduate or graduate student attending a University or College in the states of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut

Or

Any undergraduate or graduate student whose permanent residence is in the State of New York but attends a University or College elsewhere

Essay Requirements

Submit a typed, double spaced, 500-word essay responding to either of the following topics:

Topic #1

“In the current world recessionary climate what supply chain trends are emerging and what are their long term outlooks for success?”

Topic #2

“What role should Government and the Public Sector in general play in supply chain sustainability? Should it lead, follow, or get out of the way?”

Additional Opportunities

Based on the applications received, the CSCMP-NYC Roundtable Education Committee reserves the right to select one of the scholarship applicants to represent the New York City Roundtable at the Annual Global Conference to be held in San Diego, California September 26 - 29, 2010.
