Winning supply chain strategies and financial benchmarks.

There are only four supply chain strategies that really add value. How many are you implementing, and how will they impact your company’s overall performance in 2010? Learn a clear, simple framework for supply chain strategy and take home the corresponding performance benchmarks based on name-brand companies just in time for your company’s budgeting cycle.

David Jacoby is the author of The Guide to Supply Chain Management, published by The Economist, and the President of Boston Strategies International, a firm that provides global supply chain consulting, cost and pricing intelligence, and market data to help global manufacturers achieve competitive advantage through outstanding supply chain management. He has been consulting to multinational companies on supply chain strategy and performance improvement for over 20 years, and has been based in Brazil, Hong Kong, and France, where he led engagements related to strategic sourcing, purchasing and outsourcing, logistics, acquisitions, strategic alliances, capital investments, equipment, and infrastructure.

His contributions to supply chain management appear frequently in leading journals such as Supply Chain Management Review and Supply Chain Quarterly. In addition, he is a frequent speaker on global trade and supply chain economics at conferences in places like New York, Dubai, Tianjin, and Vietnam. In the course of his career, he also served as a Lecturer at Boston University and a Contributing Editor at the Economist Intelligence Unit. He holds and has recently held numerous Board positions at APICS (the Association for Operations Management), the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, the Institute for Supply Management, and the International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA).

He holds an MBA from the Wharton School, a Masters in International Business from the Lauder Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
