Paul will address the challenges of a sustainable supply chain by
examining every link in that chain – from procurement to manufacturing
to logistics. Specifically, I will be looking at this challenge from the
perspective of a marketer that does not possess a vertically-integrated
chain but rather requires the support of third parties in order to bring their
products to market.

presentation while chronicle the aggressive adoption and deployment of a program
(EPA’s SmartWay Transport Partnership) by a leading 3rd party logistics services provider
(Transplace).
Jose Holquin-Veras, Professor, RPI, The Manhattan Off-Hour Delivery Project
"Professor Holguín-Veras will talk about the results of a pilot test on off-hour deliveries
conducted in Manhattan. As a way to reduce the amount of congestion produced by
urban deliveries, this innovative project considered the use of financial incentives to the
receivers of the goods in exchange for their commitments to accept off-hour deliveries.
Industrial partners included Food Locker, New Deal Logistics, Whole Foods, and more
than 30 other companies."
